| GUM THERAPY |
Over 1/3 of all people have some type of gum disease requiring
treatment. Dr. Epstein believes that healthy gums and bone are
the only way for his patients to keep their teeth for a lifetime.
Some of the signs of gum disease include the following:
Bad Breath
Bleeding
Sore gums and teeth
Receding Gums
Changes in your bite
Loose teeth or teeth falling out
Working
hand-in-hand with his Hygienist Erlinda, Dr. Epstein diagnoses
the proper periodontal therapy for each patient, which can be
as routine as a scale and polish (for those that have healthy
gums). For people with Periodontal disease, or gum disease (disease
of the gums and jawbone), Dr. Epstein may recommend Scaling
and Root Planing to disinfect the deep pockets that cause this
disease. Dr. Epstein and Erlinda use Oraquix which eliminates
the need for injections for deep cleanings! Dr. Epstein
and Erlinda also use Arestin, which is a locally delivered antibiotic
into the deep pocket areas that cause the disease and inflammation
to drop considerably, often times eliminating the need for periodontal
surgery. They also use the DIODE LASER, to
debride the deep pockets eliminating the bacteria that cause
Periodontal Disease. This procedure does not
require anesthetic. |

| COMPOSITE / PORCELAIN FILLINGS |
Depending on how large (the depth/width) of a cavity or the size of an existing silver filling in the tooth, Dr. Epstein will determine whether a bonded composite (tooth-colored resin), or a bonded porcelain filling is the best option for the longevity of the tooth. If porcelain is deemed necessary, Dr. Epstein uses the CEREC 3-D, which is a CAD-CAM system to design and produce a finished porcelain restoration in a single visit. There is no need to wear a temporary, and no need for a second visit. |

| CROWNS & BRIDGES |
When a tooth needs a crown to cover a tooth, or a bridge to replace a missing tooth, Dr. Epstein uses all Zirconium or Alumina. This reinforced porcelain gives the restoration the strength and esthetics desired in almost every situation. These restorations are a natural looking replacement that are incredibly strong and life-like. |

| VENEERS & FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION |
Are your teeth chipped, worn and cracked? Are you cracking teeth and fillings? Do you have unwanted gaps or dislike the color and shape of your teeth. Have you been told that your bite isn't quite right? Full Mouth rehabilitation may be the best restorative option for you. Dr. Epstein will take models of your mouth and send them to the lab for a diagnostic wax-up which can show you the finished result before it is even done!
These procedures can usually be done under conscious sedation, which is a safe way to be asleep and allows you to get your mouth fully reconstructed in 3 visits!

| DENTAL IMPLANTS |
Probably the greatest advance in dentistry in the last 30 years has been the dental implant. If you have lost a tooth or teeth and want to have them replaced, and you are not interested in a bridge, dental implants are for you! Implants are titanium roots that are surgically placed in the jaw and a custom tooth that is made (crown or bridge) is attached to implant. Because implants are anchored into the bone like the roots of your teeth, they act as natural teeth. Not everyone is a candidate for implants but Dr. Epstein can evaluate your situation and let you know if you are or are not.

| GRINDING / CLENCHING / HEADACHE PREVENTION |
Have you been told that you grind your teeth? Do you find yourself clenching or waking up in the mornings with sore muscles in your face? Then the NTI is for you! The NTI-Tension Suppression System is an FDA approved appliance to be worn at night, fitted in the office to your mouth and worn only over the front two teeth. It makes it a very comfortable alternative to the traditional mouthguards or "nightguards" that cover all of the upper or lower teeth. Dr. Epstein has done hundreds and has found that people are wearing down their teeth less and are sleeping better at night.

| INVISILIGN |
Nearly
invisible! You can straighten your teeth without anyone
knowing. They are removable so you can
take them in and out to brush, floss and eat. They promote
better oral hygiene by allowing you to brush and floss
normally to maintain healthy teeth and gums. They are
comfortable: there are no wires, metal or brackets to
cause mouth abrasion. |

| IV / ORAL CONSCIOUS SEDATION |
Dr. Epstein is certified in IV and oral conscious sedation and has done thousands of cases. He finds that people that are anxious about treatment, or have even put it off for years because of fear, can be helped greatly by this practice. Usually one pill is taken one hour before treatment and with the addition of Nitrous oxide administration, allow the patient to sleep through the procedure. Whether it is IV or oral sedation the patient is constantly monitored by a blood pressure, pulse oximeter and EKG monitor. Patients interested in this should consult with Dr. Epstein about which would be best for them.
